Whitcomb was well known for his drawings of attractive young women when he produced this poster to recruit cadet nurses for the U. S. Public Health Service in 1945. Two attractive women dominate the poster. The one on the left wears a dress blue street uniform while the nurse on the right wears a work uniform. His specialty was portraits of beautiful women for magazines like Good Housekeeping, Colliers and Good Housekeeping. Mr. Whitcomb's later work also appeared in Playboy.
