Rare lot of four different size ink bottles from S.S. Stafford's Inks of New York. All are in excellent condition and will be explained seperately. some photo's were taken in direct sunlight and may not accurately depict the actual rich, cobalt blue color. They are all from an estate and had been stored for quite some time and have not been cleaned, other than my having rinsed them, inside and out, with water, no cleaner. This would make a wonderful addition to a collection or a unique decorative set for office or home. My best guess is late 1800's, but may be early 20th century. The 32oz. had a stopper and is marked SS STAFFORD'S INKS MADE IN U.S.A. THIS BOTTLE CONTAINS ONE FULL QUART. It has two large bubbles and several smaller, as well as a missing flake (1/8") on the back side. No scratches or chips. Measures 9" tall and 3 1/2" in diameter. The 16oz. has a pour spout and is marked S.S. STAFFORD'S INKS MADE IN U.S.A. Numerous bubbles throughout and no chips or scratches. Measures 7 1/4" tall and 3" in diameter. The 8oz. has a pour spout and is marked S.S. STAFFORD'S INKS MADE IN U.S.A. Numerous bubbles throughout with no chips or scratches. Measures 6" tall and 2 1/2" in diameter. Last, but not least, is the 4oz. It too has a pour spout and is marked S.S. STAFFORD'S INKS MADE IN U.S.A. Not quite as many bubbles and apears a bit cloudy. No chips and does have a few scratches that seem to be from the production of the bottle as they run together as does a stripe on a barber pole/sign. FREE SHIPPING WITHIN THE U.S. AS PARCEL POST.
