This pen features a rich, Platinum plating with contrasting Black Titanium finish that is very durable and will last for many years. The center band has a wonderful, carved relief design. The material is a wonderful, Blue Turquoise TruStone. It is very durable and has been finished and polished by hand to a high luster. TruStone is a beautiful material made from a combination of crushed semi-precious stones, combined with other natural pigments and materials which are then subjected to tremendous heat and pressure. This results in a material still "hard as a rock" but workable with a lathe. It has the look and the cool feel of stone, and is difficult to distinguish from the real stone. The results of a pen made with this material is one that has a nice heft to it, a brilliant sheen and texture and an interesting appearance. The Hampton pen uses a Parker style ballpoint refill. This pen will also accept the new Parker Gel refills. They are available at most office supply stores. If you need additional refills, I have a small supply available for purchase. All pens are handcraft by me in my workshop. The pen you see in the listing is the pen you will receive. This pen was made from a solid piece of wood or material with the grain oriented to match between the two barrels of the pen. It was turned by hand on a lathe. My pens are a joy to collect and also make excellent gifts.
