Please read the description of this auction carefully because this auction is non-standard. We live in a 100 year old landmark house in Chicago and have about a dozen gas / electric "transition" chandeliers in the house. We have shades for a number of these chandeliers but need more shades for these chandeliers. I have two of the gas shades pictured here on a nice old chandelier. The shades I have have fitters that are approximately 4 inches. These shades are "transfer" or "stencil" or "single etched," with the pattern clear and the rest of the shade frosted. You cannot feel lines for the patterns. I'm looking for MATCHING electric shades, with 2.25 inch fitters, for MY chandelier. Or if somebody has MATCHING gas shades (with 4 inch fitters) I might be interested in them also (in which case I'd move these shades to another chandelier). Any shades that I get will be used on MY chandeliers. Given the foregoing, I am selling an agreement-to-purchase shades that MATCH the shades that are pictured here, i.e.shades that I already have. So, if you interested in letting me have one or more MATCHING shades at a price I can afford to pay, I will sell you an agreement-to-purchase those shades.
