Antique Republic of Mexico Single Spur, Chihuahua Style Antique Chihuahua style Mexican single spur. This is a somewhat unusual style with the large single hole (1 inch diameter) and short heel bands. The overall length is 5-1/4 inches. The heel bands measure 1-5/8 inches wide, the shank is 2-1/4 inches long and the rowel is 2-3/4 inches in diameter. Retains both buttons. The very thick outside button measures 1-3/8 inches in diameter. This spur weights slightly over one pound. According to my reference manuals this spur will date to the 1870-1900 period.
