The piece measures 2" x 1", weighs .8 oz (22gm) and is marked with "STERLING TIFFANY & CO L" on the bottom. This L datemark is from the 1950's. This piece was used to sprinkle absorbant on ink, the top has tiny holes for use as a dispenser. Is popularly used today as a classy pill box which holds even the largest pills.
