Collectors of Old Antique Smalls..and Compacts..Wow..What a Great Collectable Estate piece. According to the Estate this Compact is very Old..and the Estate informed me this could be from the Late 1920's..The Flapper Era..to the 1930's. It is so neat..and I have never seen one quite like this. First, the piece is a Compact..it has a Mirror..and also a Mesh bottom for small items..Kleenex..coin..or valuable items..or what ever you choose. It is Fabulous. The Compact has Ornamental Needlework..Embroider work..Very well crafted..and some slight frey on upper right..and merely normal for being this old. An easy fix for all your collectors. The Pattern is Floral..a Mauve pink color Rose type pattern..and you can tell this piece is Antique. The Compact opens as picture 3 shows..I do apologize for the mirrow reflecting my woodwork on they walls..the Mirror is in excellent condition..not cracked. No bevelled mirror however..so this maybe dating this piece to mid 1930's. The compact has a lip lever..it opens on the top and shuts very nicely. When you open the compact on the opposite side of the mirror..you have a compartment which expands-itis like a bag..and looking at the bottom of the piece as pcciture 2 shows..it has a mesh sequins..ornamental metal like disks..a bronze color..and this design is outstanding! There is normal surface wear to them for being a used Antique item. You will Flip when you see this compact and I know you will be so pleased! The Compact is heavy..it has weight to it..it is made well..and They do not make Vanity items like this anymore..so don't let this one get away! The item measures approx: just about 2 3/4 inches by 2 3/4 inches when sitting on the table. Also the metal is of an Antique gold color of metal....metal orgin not known..it is Lovely!!
